Spatial Objects

Spatial Objects are the core of a LEGION model's logic. Entities are introduced into models by Entrances, Populated Zones or Evacuation Zones and receive contextual information from other Spatial Objects placed within the model. This information is used by Entities to undertake activities such as waiting or queuing, or to adapt their walking preferences to changing contexts (e.g. stairs, escalators or waiting areas).

Within LEGION Simulator there are three types of Spatial Object:

  • Activity Objects
  • CAD Objects
  • Analysis Objects

Spatial Objects are discussed at length in the Spatial Objects In Detail (which you can find in the LEGION Model Builder help on docs.bentley.com), but some brief definitions follow. For CAD Objects, search the LEGION Model Builder help for "Drawing CAD objects" .
